Myanmar requires a visa. It is valid for one
month starting from the day you enter the country, and you have to enter
the country at most three months from the day of issue. On arrival at
Yangon tourists are required to exchange US$ 300 into non-convertible
Foreign Exchange Certificate.
It is possible (Apr 95) to get a one day
or a three day visa directly at the border station of Mae Sai (northern
Thailand).or Mae Sai The one day visa was USD5.

There are two types of Visa called EVT (FIT)
and EVT (Package) Visa. We encourage you to apply EVT (Package ) visa
.Please see as follows.
E.V.T.(PACKAGE)
You can apply the visa at Myanmar Embassy or consulate with prior arrangements
and confirmation from Travel Agencies in Myanmar. This visa holders are
not necessary to change USD200.- on arrival in Yangon airport. Indochinatour.com
will be providing a confirmation letter to the Embassy for those clients
who bought a tour from us or those who bought a hotel, transfers and one
optional tour or flight tickets together-
E.V.T (F.I.T )
Also this visa can applied at the Myanmar Embassy abroad. This kind of
visa holders must change USD200.- F.E.C units 200.- on arrival Yangon
airport. F.E.C. = Foreign Exchange Currency units are as good as US dollars
and can be used at hotels for accommodation, train fare, air fare, entrance
fees, airport tax etc.) Visa fee is USD 20.-
