| Day 1 : Arrival Yangon
Arrive at Yangon Airport by flight.
Welcome by our local tour guide and transfer to Hotel for check-in.
Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, sightseeing to SHWEDAGON
PAGODA - world famous golden stupa in the dome shape rises 98
meters above its base and covered with 60 tons of pure gold and
CHAUKHTATGYI PAGODA - a colossal reclining Buddha. Proceed
to BOGYOKE (SCOTT) MARKET with time to browse among the hundreds
of stalls for souvenir bargains. Welcoming Dinner and Cultural show
at KARAWEIK PALACE FLOATING RESTAURANT built in a style of
Royal Barge used by the old days Kings. Your first night of stay
in Yangon.
Day 2 : Yangon
After breakfast in hotel, full day
sightseeing tour of the old colonial style city center featuring
SULE PAGODA - a beautiful octagonal golden stupa, dating
over 2,000 years and BOTATAUNG PAGODA - a famous landmark
of Yangon City. After that, will visit the LOCAL GLASS BLWOING
FACTORY where you can see all the fanciful objects of glass
which were produced by ancient techniques. Later in the afternoon,
proceed to KYAUKTAWGYI BUDDHA IMAGE - the world largest marble
Buddha image curved from a single block of marble stone weight over
600 tons, MAHAPASANA GUHA CAVE where the sixth Buddhist synod
took place, follow by KABA AYE (World Peace) Pagoda and GEM
MARKET where you can browse to world famous Myanmar Rubies and
Jades as well as various type of color stones. Lastly, will visit
the CHINA TOWN. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 3 : Yangon - Golden Rock
After breakfast, a long excursion by
road, 190 km east of Yangon, to KYEIKHTIYO. Lunch at local
restaurant. After lunch, proceed to GOLDEN ROCK, a huge boulder
completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge
of a cliff. Atop the boulder is a glided pagoda, said to hold a
hair of Buddha. Pilgrims walk the twisting l0km footpath through
bamboo forests but tourists can travel to the rock by small open
trucks, taking one hour. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight
at Golden Rock Hotel or similar.
Day 4 : Golden Rock - Bago - Yangon
After breakfast, continue by road 11Okm
to BAGO. An ancient capital daring back to the 6th century
sightseeing includes the KYAHKATWINE TEACHING MONASTERY -
one may observe over 700 student monks having lunch under the way
of Buddha's guidance. See also the 55 meter long Reclining SHWETHALYAUNG
PAGODA and BAGO MARKET. Lunch at local restaurant. After
lunch, return by road to Yangon, visiting enroute the WORLD WAR
II ALLIED WAR CEMETERY near HTAUKKYANT. Dinner at local
restaurant and overnight in Yangon.
Day 5 : Yangon Departure
After breakfast in hotel, transfer
to airport for flight back to home. |
