| Day 1 : Arrival - Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport.
Meet and transfer to Hotel. After check-in hotel, lunch at a restaurant.
After lunch, start orientation tour of Yangon City including visits
to: Sule Pagoda - the heart of the Yangon City surrounded by various
colonial style buildings, Botataung Pagoda - the land mark of Yangon's
river-front, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image - a colossal reclining
Buddha Image, and end of the tour at Shwedagon Pagoda - over 2500
years old the world famous stupa. Dinner and your first night of
stay in capital of Myanmar.
Day 2 : Yangon - Bagan
After breakfast at hotel, full day
tour to Bago located 80km northeast of Yangon which was an ancient
Mon's capital or the capital of Myanmar Second Empire. On the way,
visit Htaukkyant World War II Cemetery where 27,000 allied soldiers
who had perished during the Second World War were buried. Tour highlights
in Bago are: Kyaikpun Pagoda - four gigantic Buddha Images, Kyakhatwine
Teaching Monastery, Shwemawdaw Pagoda - the highest Pagoda in Myanmar;Kanbawza
Thadi Palace, Cheroot making cottage, Shwethalyaung Pagoda - one
of the biggest reclining Buddha Image in Myanmar built during 9th
century, and Mons' weaving village. Lunch will be at a restaurant
in Bago. After lunch, visit Bago Market, before drive back to Yangon.Evening,
take a walk around China Town before or after dinner with cultural
show at Karaweik Palace. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
Day 3 : Yangon - Heho - Pindaya
- Inle
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer
to airport. Fly to Heho by morning flight. Drive to Pindaya - a
small quiet town famous for its millions years old caves deposited
with thousands of pagodas during the past centuries. Sightseeing
Pindaya Cave, Traditional Shan paper making and Umbrella making
villages. Lunch at a restaurant in Pindaya. Evening drive back to
Inle lake- the second biggest lake in Myanmar famous for its unique
leg-rowers. Check-in hotel at Nyaungshwe - a small town located
at the entrance of Lake Inle. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
in Nyaungshwe.
Day 4 : Inle
After breakfast, sightseeing Lake Inle
by boat. Tour highlights include the visits to: floating market
(available to see on the market days only which is hold on every
five days), famous wish-fulfilling Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Inpawkhone
Village - famous for its silk weaving handlooms, Ngaphechaung Monastery
- well known because of jumping cats, traditional ways of fishing,
and Floating Gardens. Lunch at a floating restaurant. Dinner and
overnight in Nyaungshwe.
Day 5 : Nyaung Shwe - Heho - Mandalay
After breakfast, drive up to Taunggyi
Market where one can see the various hill-tribes come down for shopping
and selling fresh vegetables and all sorts of regional products.
Drive back to Heho airport for fly to Mandalay - the center of Myanmar
Arts & Crafts. Later in the afternoon, arrive at Mandalay airport
and transfer to hotel. Evening visit to Mahamuni Image - a bronze
Buddha image cast during the lifetime of Buddha himself before dinner
at a famous restaurant in Mandalay. Overnight in the last capital
of Myanmars' Kings.
Day 6 : Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, sightseeing
Mandalay by visiting: Gold leaf beating workshop, Silk weaving home
cottage, Tapestry works, and Marble carving wood carving and bronze
casting workshops. Lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, proceed to
Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Atumashi
Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda - known as the world biggest book, Evening,
finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset and
the panoramic view of the city. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight
in Mandalay.
Day 7 : Mandalay - Amarapura - Sagaing
- Mingun
After breakfast, visit Amarapura -
an ancient capital built on the advice of astrologers. Tour highlights
are: Mahagandaryone Monastery - where one may observe the daily
life of the monks studying Buddha's scriptures, and U Bein's Bridge
- 1.2 km long over 200 years old wooden bridge. Then, proceed to
Sagaing Hill - known as the center for meditation. Visit Kaungmudaw
Pagoda - an enormous dome shaped pagoda built in 16th century; Pottery
and Silver-smith workshops. After lunch, boat trip to Mingun where
the world largest ringing bell exist. Sightseeing Mingun Bell, Pahtodawgyi
Unfinished Pagoda, Mingun village and environs. On the way back
to Mandalay, enjoy the beautiful sunset along the Ayeyarwaddy River.
Evening dinner and overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.
Day 8 : Mandalay - Bagan
After breakfast, transfer to the jetty
for the boat trip to Bagan (0600-1630) with government Double Decker
ferry. Afternoon, arrive at Nyaung Oo Jetty. Meet and transfer to
the hotel in Bagan. Evening, watch the famous sunset view of Bagan
from Mingalar Zedi. Dinner and puppet show at one of the Bagan's
most famous restaurant. Overnight in the city of first Myanmar Empire
- Bagan.
Day 9 : Bagan - Yangon
After breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing
Bagan by visiting: Nyaung Oo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda - the prototype
for later Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawrahta, Ananda Temple
- King Kyansittha's masterpiece and the crowning achievement of
the early style temple of architecture, Kyansitha Umin, Thatbyinnyu
Temple - the highest building on the Bagan plain, and Htilominlo
Temple - the largest temples of Bagan. Lunch at a Restaurant. After
lunch, visit to Lacquer-ware making home cottage; Manuha Temple;
Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple - known for its wall paintings depicting
scenes from the Jataka; and Dhamanyangyi Temple - the most massive
temple of Bagan. Evening, transfer to airport to fly back to Yangon.
Meet and transfer to the hotel on arrival. Dinner at a restaurant
and overnight in Yangon.
Day 10 : Yangon - Departure
After breakfast, visit Strand Jetty
to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon's River.
Then, visit Gems Mart,Bogyoke Market - formerly known as Scott Market
and National Museum.Lunch at a restraunt. In the evening, transfer
to airport for departure.
