After breakfast, visit the downtown area to see the Old City Hall, and Maharbandoola Park. Then stroll along the old street ending at the old Strand Hotel. Next, drive to Botahtaung Pagoda which features golden decorations inside. Continue to Bogyoke Market which sells many Burmese traditional handicrafts including stone, wood and bronze carvings, and much more. .In the afternoon, visit Kandawgyi Park near Chaukhtetgyi Reclining Buddha Image – one of the largest in Yangon. Continue to the highlight of Yangon: the golden Shwedagon Pagoda, which has been described as one of the wonders of the world. Shwedagon plays a very important role in the Old Burmese History and also is an important Buddhist icon. Enjoy the sunset over the pagoda.

Flight to Bagan | Valley of a Thousand Temples

This morning, transfer by flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in.

This afternoon, explore Bagan. See its thousands of Buddhist pagodas spread in the valley of the Ancient City of Bagan. These pagodas were once owned by individual families during prosperous times. Visit the Nyaung Oo Market where locals buy and sell produce. Continue on to the Shwezigon Pagoda, the largest pagoda in Bagan painted with real gold.

Then enjoy a Horse Cart Ride to the small village of Taung Phi for a view of a teak monastery Continue by horse cart around temples and winding roads as the sun makes it's way to the sky's edge casting curious shadows from the temples across the plain. Continue to Shesandaw Pagoda. Watch one of the best sunsets in Southeast Asia before riding back to your hotel.

Bagan/Mt. Popa.

This morning start your scenic drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its golden shrines. Situated 50 km southeast of Bagan, this solitary peak showcases the Popa Taungkalat shrine, the favored home of Myanmar’s most powerful “Nats” (local spirits), statues of which can be found at its base. These spirits were once so important to the country's early Kings that it was essential for them to consult the Nats before commencing their reign. The shrine is located at the top of the mountain, and if you have the energy, take off your shoes and socks to climb to the top (well worth the climb!) Along the way are a multitude of monkeys expecting treat!

Along the way, stop by a local village to learn about local culture and lifestyle. Then enjoy lunch at a hill resort.   On the way back visit a palm sugar workshop, where the harvested nectar from local trees is cooked into the sugar cubes we see in teashops today.

Enjoy a exciting morning Hot Air Balloon Ride in Bagan.

Ordinarily an average of 45 mins of flight duration is expected. However, the entire experience will last about 2 1/2 hours. On landing, our fully trained Myanmar ground crew will pack the balloon whilst passengers enjoy a glass or two of celebratory champagne. 
Balloons over Bagan is a private Myanmar company that is committed to the preservation of Bagan and its environment. A contribution from each flight will be donated to community programmes that directly benefit the local population.

Full day Inle lake tour with Boat Ride

After your breakfast around 8am and take a boat trip to Inle Lake (second largest lake in Myanmar). The Intha’s lives are centered on the lake - they live in stilted houses, grow produce such as tomatoes, melons, and papayas in a unique floating garden, and eat fish as a staple.

You will visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most highly revered monastery in the Inle Lake area. Discover the traditional handicrafts silk weaving on wooden handlooms and a blacksmith shop.

Then, continue our boat ride to Nga Phe Chaung monastery, one of the oldest monasteries on the lake. The Buddha statues are more than 200 years old. On the lake, you can see traditional fishing methods by using the leg rowing technique. We proceed to the floating garden - Kyun-Hmyaw, which was built-up from strips of water hyacinth and mud, dredged from the lake bed, which breaks down into a rich humus; it take 50 years to produce a layer of 1m thick. Relax and enjoy spectacular sunset views over Inle Lake before returning to hotel.

Flight to Mandalay, Half day Mandalay city tour

Enjoy free time in the morning until transfer to airport for onward flight to Mandalay. Upon you arrive in Mandalay, your local guide will meet you in the airport and escort you to hotel.

After a rest in the hotel, you will visit Mahamuni Image where you will see local people pray and stick gold paper on the Buddha for blessing. You can also try to make your wish and donate money (buy) for gold paper to stick the gold paper on the statue (only man allowed to stick the gold). On the way to the Mahamuni Image, you will visit a gold paper factory to see how people made the gold leaf. Visit the Shwenandaw Monastery which means ‘Golden Palace Monastery” and was built in 19th century and well known for its teak carving of Buddhist myths. then Visit Mandalay Palace The scale of King Mindon’s ambition is obvious on first sight of the vast Mandalay Palace and its grounds. This walled citadel, surrounded by a large moat, is situated in the middle of the city, to the north of downtown; it certainly looks imposing from the outside, but unfortunately, along with much of Mandalay, it was devastated by bombing in the Second World War. Visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda which is a Buddhist stupa that contains the world’s largest book of Buddhism.

Finish your day at the top of Mandalay Hill for a stunning sun set.

Amarapura Ancient Capital

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Mandalay at 7:30-8am. From here, you will travel to Mingun. Mingun is home to the world’s largest untracked ringing bell, the largest brick base Pathodawgyi Padoda and Myatheindan Pagoda with a distinctive architectural style modelled after the mythical Mount Meru (Myinmo taung). You will then continue to Sagaing (the ancient capital of Shan and Myanmar Kingdoms) and visit Sunn Oo Ponya Shin on the tranquil Sagaing Hill. Also drop by at a local silverware cottage industry if time allows. Enjoy lunch in at a local restaurant in Sagaing before leaving for Inwa (also known as Ava), a former royal capital of Myanmar Kingdom on the confluence of the Ayeyarwaddy River and Myitnge River.

After crossing the Myitnge River by a small ferry boat, we will take a horse cart to explore the ruins of the old royal capital including the watchtower, the 27m tall leaning tower of the old royal palace, Maha Aungmye Bonzan monastery (also known as Me Nu Oak Kyaung) built of brick in traditional style with elaborated stucco ornamentations that looks like carvings and the Bargaya monastery, a splendid teak wood monastery with wood curving. Your last destination today is the Amarapura. It was the royal capital of Myanmar twice, from 1783 to 1821 and 1842 to 1859, during the Konbaung era before finally being superseded by Mandalay. Heading to U Bein Bridge to explore the local way of life and enjoy the sunset before returning to your hotel.

Visit Chiang Mai Temple

In the morning, you'll go to visit the most prominent temples in Chiang Mai. Start with Wat Phra Singh which houses the famous Phra Singh Buddha image. It features Lanna art throughout and illustrates many famous Buddhist stories.

Continue on to Wat Chedi Luang, which once contained the Emerald Buddha. The temple is partially in ruins due to an earthquake in the 1500s.

Then stop at Wat Chiang Man which is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai and also houses one of Thailand's greatest treasures: the Crystal Buddha(usually only able to be seen on Sundays and certain festival dates).

Then continue to Wat Suan Dok, which houses many of the remains of generations of the old Chiang Mai Royal Family. Finally, visit Wat Jet Yot – this peaceful temple is surrounded by green and was built in the Mahabodhi style from India to house the Eighth World Buddhist Council in 1453. Return to the hotel to relax around noon.

Full Day Doi Inthanon Tour

This morning after breakfast you’ll drive through the alpine environment near Doi Inthanon on your way to the mountain peak. As you ascend toward the 8,514-foot (2,595-meter) summit of the country’s highest point, you’ll enjoy views of dwarf rhododendron groves, evergreen forests, and more than 400 species of birds like Eurasian woodcocks that call the area home. When you arrive at the top, enjoy the cool temperatures and stop by the Air Force Radar Station, where the stupa dedicated to King Intha wichayanon (the last king of Chiang Mai) is located.

Proceed to Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Phumisiri, two twin pagodas constructed in honor of the ‘fifth cycle’ birthdays of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. Continue to a nearby village of the Karen tribe where you’ll stop for an included lunch at a local restaurant. Finish the day with a short hike to the Wachirathan Waterfall, and, if time permits, a stop in the town of Chom Thong. You’ll be back at your hotel in Chiang Mai by the early evening.

Full Day Cooking Class at Thai Farm

Escape from the bustling city for a day. Come learn how to prepare and cook a Thai meal while enjoying the relaxing non-touristy countryside. On the way to the farm we will stop at a local market for a brief tour. Our school is approximately 17 kms from Chiang Mai city. Upon arrival we will take you around our organic farm.

You will be able to see many different kinds of organic herbs, vegetables and fruits that we proudly grow ourselves. You will be given the opportunity to pick some of the fresh ingredients that you will use while preparing your favorite dishes in one of our spacious well equipped kitchens. Each person will have his/her own cooking station. Finally, enjoy eating your meal on the terrace overlooking the fishpond where you will have a splendid view of the entire farm as well as the lush nearby mountains.

Doi Mae Salong - Discover Golden Triangle

The golden triangle is a mysterious region for most of Indochina tour makes, today you will enjoy a full day excursion to the heart of golden triangle region.

Your fascinating day will start from morning by firstly visit the Long Neck Karen village to see the long neck hill tribe people who relocated from the Thai and Myanmar border. If it is possible, you will also able to visit a Cock Fighting near the hill tribe village. Keep driving to Mt. Doi Mae Salong and visit the Chinese village on the top of the mountain. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue the trip to the highest peak on the Thai-Myanmar border. Doi Tung, provides an opportunity to view enrooted many different Lahu and Akha village as well as terraced farming areas and see from distance the Princess Mother's frigid flower Garden.  Doi Tung temple, built in A.D.1493, is located at the peak. Its scenery reminds one of Switzerland, features many unique images and temple architecture overlooking the entire northern rice field plain. After the tour transfer to Huay Xia.

Embark the Mekong Smile Cruise, Depart toward Pakbeng (Monday)

Depart on 9:30AM, Within the Mekong region, the capital of the Lao province of Bokèo, Huay Xai is an important border crossing point with neighboring Chiang Khong, Thailand and was thus chosen as the ideal departing port for the cruise. After one-hour journeying along the river, the boat stops at a traditional village. This is a chance to observe rural life along the Mekong and witness the daily life of ethnic minorities and their talented craftsmanship. Lunch is served on board in a buffet style with a main course from Laos’ main culinary delights as well as a choice of fish and meat dishes. The river cruise arrives at Mekong Smile Cruise near Pakbeng before sunset, giving plenty of time to refresh, enjoy the scenery of the river and admire the surrounding nature. A Laotian dinner is served on the open air terrace overlooking the Mekong River.

Pakbeng-Luang Prabang

Mornings are special times at Mekong Riverside Lodge with stunning sights of the peaceful neighboring mountains, often shrouded in mist, while a full breakfast is served on the expansive teak terrace.

Departure time: 8 am. Early in the morning you can visit the Pakbeng market (optional). After breakfast we depart at 8 am to journey down the Mekong River. The first stop is at Ban Baw where you will observe the traditional whisky village, weaving village, handicrafts and textiles. A buffet lunch is served on board. The boat stops again to visit Pak Ou caves. There are two caves, ‘Tham Ting’ and ‘Tham Phoum.’ The caves contain thousands of Buddha images. The Mekong cruise arrives at Luang Prabang, a UNESCO world heritage city, before sunset and we have the van to pick you up at the main pier to Luang Prabang. We will arrive about 4 – 4:30 pm at the new pier. Our local guide and driver will waiting you at pier and transfer you to the hotel and rest on your own leisure.

Khouang Si Waterfall

This morning, you will meet tour guide and escort you to visit Ban Chan where you can see local people doing the handicraft products and Ban Xiengman villages.

Lunch will be served near the caves. You'll have the opportunity to try a local dish called "Orlam" which is a soup with vegetables and features a spicy wood that is partially edible. On return, disembark to visit the traditional weaving village of Ban Phanom, famous for its hand woven textiles.

Continue to explore the beautiful Khouang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails.

Luang Prabang: Buddhist Ancient City and Temples

Today you will start off to visit the Royal Palace Museum (closed on Tuesday), which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. See the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground and representing classical Laotian architecture. Visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

In the afternoon, Visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures before heading out of town to see the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. Later this afternoon return to the city for a visit to Wat Mai. Finally climb to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa and a sunset view of the city and the Mekong River.

After breakfast, you will leave for the beautiful town Vang Vieng by taking Road 13 toward North. On the way stop at KM 52 Hmong Village for a short visit. Then visit the archaeological site of Vang Xang, which has one of the oldest Buddha statues dating back to 11th century. After visiting Vang Xang, you will stop for photos at the fishing village of Ban Houy Mo, then continue to Vang Vieng, stopping for lunch en route at local restaurant. When you arrive in Vang Vieng, you'll take a boat trip on the Nam Xong River for natural beauty of Vang Vieng, You'll check in at your hotel, then have free time at your leisure.

Vientiane, the charming capital city of Laos with rich heritage of Buddhist culture, is waiting for you to discover.

You full day city tour will take you to visit the highlights of Vientiane. Your will firstly get to know some more history of Laos by visiting the temple Wat Sisaket which is the oldest surviving temple with thousands of Buddhist images. The temple Wat Prakeo which housing the famous Emerald Buddha image really amazed the Indochina tour makers. Your full day Vientiane city tour will also visit the symbolic site That Luang Stupa and Patuxay Monument.

In the afternoon Buddha Park and enjoy a stroll around the park. Also known as Xieng Khuan, this unusual park is filled with over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. The quiet and tranquil setting along the Mekong River is a contrast to the slightly eccentric sculptures which were built in 1958 by a Laos shaman. The concrete sculptures are unique and intriguing, sitting majestically in the peaceful park. After Buddha Park start driving back to Vientiane. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.

Made famous by the book and movie The Bridge on the River Kwai, the infamous bridge and railway is a notable part of the Kanchanaburi landscape. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre to get an understanding of the deadly, Herculean task many Thais were faced with decades ago. Then continue to Prasat Muang Sing Historical Park. . The park is full of examples of the Khmar influenced architecture in this part of Thailand.

Well this was a year in the planning with lots of talks with my rep Helen, to start off was my trip to Vietnam Hanoi/hoi an and oh chi min city and everything was great all the guides at each city and the trips to boot the hotels was all as expected.
