1. Tiananmen Square: One of the largest public squares in the world. It is a historic and cultural landmark in the heart of Beijing. Surrounded by many important buildings, it is a must-see for experiencing the city’s history and atmosphere.
2. Forbidden City: The highlight of the day. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. As the home of 24 Chinese emperors, it offers a fascinating look into China’s royal history, culture, and magnificent ancient architecture.

Then, you will continue to visit:

1. Temple of Heaven: A masterpiece of Ming dynasty architecture. It is a sacred site where emperors once prayed for good harvests. With its unique design and deep cultural significance, it is one of the most important ancient temples in Beijing.

Then, you will head to the Great Wall for the highlight of the day:

2. Mutianyu Great Wall: The most beautiful section of the Great Wall in Beijing. It is well preserved and known for its stunning mountain scenery and fewer crowds. You can hike up the Wall or take a cable car at your own expense.

In the afternoon, on the way back to the hotel, you can stop to take some photos of Beijing’s famous Olympic sites from outside:

1. Terracotta Warriors: Located about 35 kilometers east of Xi’an, the Terracotta Warriors are one of the most remarkable archaeological finds of the 20th century. Built over 2,000 years ago, these life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots were buried to guard the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. It is a must-visit site to learn about China’s ancient history and the grandeur of its early civilization.

In the afternoon, you will continue your tour with:

2. Ancient City Wall: The best-preserved ancient city walls in China and one of the most impressive city walls in the world. You can walk or cycle along the wall and enjoy a different view of Xi’an while taking in the grandeur of this ancient military defense system.

At night, when the city lights come on, you will visit Xi’an’s famous landmarks:

3. Bell Tower: A symbol of Xi’an and one of the city’s most iconic historical buildings. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it stands in the center of the city and is especially beautiful when illuminated at night.

1. Drepung Monastery: Once the largest monastery in Tibet, Drepung Monastery was home to around 10,000 monks at its peak. It was also the site of the Ganden Podrang, which served as the government center during the time of the Fifth Dalai Lama. With its grand white buildings spreading across the hillside, it is an important place to learn about Tibetan Buddhism and history.
2. Sera Monastery: Founded in 1419 by Jamchen Choeje, a disciple of Tsongkhapa, Sera Monastery is one of the great monasteries of Tibet. In the afternoon, you will continue to visit:

1. Jokhang Temple: The holiest temple in Tibet and one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Tibetan Buddhists. With its long history, spiritual atmosphere, and precious religious treasures, it is an essential place to experience Tibetan faith and tradition.
2. Barkhor Street: A famous old street surrounding Jokhang Temple. It is a lively place where pilgrims, locals, and visitors come together. Here, you can see traditional Tibetan shops selling religious items, antiques, Thangkas, Tibetan clothing, and many other local handicrafts.

Chengdu Panda Base & Leshan Giant Buddha (B)

After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Chengdu at 8:00 am. Then you will be driven to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, which is about 1 hour from downtown Chengdu.

1. Chengdu Panda Base: The Chengdu Panda Base is one of the best places to see and learn about giant pandas. It is a renowned breeding and research center dedicated to protecting China’s most beloved animal. You can see pandas of different ages, from tiny cubs to full-grown adults, and watch them eating, climbing, playing, or resting in their enclosures.

After enjoying lunch, you will continue to Leshan in the afternoon.

2. Leshan Giant Buddha: The Leshan Giant Buddha is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest sitting stone Buddha statue in the world. Carved into a cliff face more than 1,000 years ago, it stands about 71 meters high and is one of the most remarkable ancient landmarks near Chengdu. You will also have the chance to learn more about local Buddhist culture and history during the visit. If time and site conditions allow, your guide may take you to see the Buddha from different angles for a closer look.

After the tour, you will be transferred back to Chengdu. Your tour guide will escort you to the hotel for a good rest.
