Day 1 Welcome to Siem Reap

Welcome to Siem Reap, upon arrive your local guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport and ready to transfer you to hotel for check in.

In the evening enjoy dinner with Apsara Traditional dancing show.

Day 2 Temple Touring Full Day

Breakfast is at hotel. We depart hotel at 8.00am for full day guided Angkor exploration, start with the south gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces, stroll to explore Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces in stone, admired by interesting temples including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king, terrace of elephant & Ta Prohm temple adorned with the stunning tree roots where Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed.

After lunch, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – the world’s heritage listed by UNESCO in 1992 and the largest monument in the world. Unlock the amazing history, its ancestral incredible, architectural masterpieces and the finest carvings dates back to the Khmer Empire when it dominated the largest parts of Southeast Asia. On your way back to Siem Reap, enjoy the sunset from the top of the pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup.

Day 3 Tonle Sap Lake, Kompong Phluk, Ox cart ride – Cambodia Phare Circus

In the morning, a half day excursion to the biggest Southeast Asia’s largest fresh water lake—Tonle Sap Lake. You’ll take a fun ox cart ride through the countryside, Continue on a boat trip to enjoy the beautiful lake views and mangrove forests. Spend rest of the morning at Kompong Phluk, the largest village on the lake, to discover the fascinating daily lifestyle of the local people who live on the water.

For a unique experience this evening our driver will take you to see a performance of the Phare Cambodian Circus from the best VIP seats in the house.  Theater, story, dance, high-energy music and circus acts tell uniquely Cambodian stories.  These circus artists will astonish you with their energy, emotion, enthusiasm and talent.

Day 8 Vientiane City Highlights

Vientiane, the charming capital city of Laos with rich heritage of Buddhist culture, is waiting for you to discover.

You full day city tour will take you to visit the highlights of Vientiane. Your will firstly get to know some more history of Laos by visiting the temple Wat Sisaket which is the oldest surviving temple with thousands of Buddhist images. The temple Wat Prakeo which housing the famous Emerald Buddha image really amazed the Indochina tour makers. Your full day Vientiane city tour will also visit the symbolic site That Luang Stupa and Patuxay Monument.

In the afternoon Buddha Park and enjoy a stroll around the park. Also known as Xieng Khuan, this unusual park is filled with over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. The quiet and tranquil setting along the Mekong River is a contrast to the slightly eccentric sculptures which were built in 1958 by a Laos shaman. The concrete sculptures are unique and intriguing, sitting majestically in the peaceful park. After Buddha Park start driving back to Vientiane. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.

Day 9 Flight to Luang Prabang

Today you will continue your amazing Indochina Tour in Laos from Vientiane to Luang Prabang.

Enjoy relaxing time in the morning until transfer you to the airport for onward flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, you will meet your private local guide from Indochinatour.com and escort you to hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening, you can wander around the city and the night market to discover local life of Luang Prabang.

Day 10 Kuang Si Waterfalls, Half Day City Tour

Luang Prabang, the city surrounded by Mekong River and well known for its golden city is well known for its beautiful decorated Buddhist temples, it is a place that you will keep appearing in your mind for long time after your Indochina tour. Your memorable trip will starts from partaking in an alms ritual in the morning, you will accepts the blessing by monks who you give the alms. Have breakfast in the hotel and then start the half day excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you will enjoy beautiful natural scenery, have fun in waterfalls and relax. Drive back to the town for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Wat Xiengthong which is symbolic temple of the classic Laotian architecture, visit the Royal Palace Museum to learn some history of Laos. Then visit the Wat Aham Temple which means “Monastery of the Opened Heart” and the Stupa of Wat Visoun.

Day 11 Embark the Luang Say Cruise

Luang Say boat leaves Auberge Calao pier at 07h00am (please be at pier not later than 6.45 am) for a cruise up the Mekong to Pakbeng and the Luang Say Lodge. A continental breakfast is served while the boat is cruising to Pak Ou Village. Opposite the mouth of the Nam Ou River, near Pak Ou village, the cruise stops to visit the Tam Thing cave. Translated as Rock Cave, it is famous for housing over 2,500 Buddha statues of all sizes and for being a place of pilgrimage for locals. Lunch is served on board, buffet style with a main course from Laos’ main culinary delights as well as a choice of fish and meat dishes A few hours into the day after enjoying the sights of granite cliffs and sparkling sandy shores, the river boat makes a stop to visit the hill tribe village of Baw, where you can watch the traditional process of making Lao whiskey. The river cruise arrives at Luang Say Lodge near Pakbeng before sunset, giving plenty of time to refresh, enjoy the scenery of the river and admire the surrounding nature. A Laotian dinner is served on the open air terrace overlooking the Mekong River.

Day 12 Pakbeng - Village - Huay Xai

Mornings are special times at Luang Say Lodge with stunning sights of the peaceful neighboring mountains, often shrowded in mist, while a full breakfast is served on the expansive teak terrace.

The cruise departs for another day of nature discovery along the legendary river with one stop planned along the way to Luang Prabang. Lunch is served on board in a buffet style with a main course from Laos’ main culinary delights and a choice of fish and meat dishes. After lunch, the boat stops at a traditional village. This is a chance to observe rural life along the Mekong and witness the daily life of ethnic minorities and their talented craftsmanship.

Within the Mekong region, the capital of the Lao province of Bokèo, Huay Xai is an important border crossing point with neighboring Chiang Khong, Thailand and was thus chosen as the ideal arrival port for the cruise.

Upon arrive in Huay Xai pier, you will transfer to Chiang Rai for hotel check in .

Day 13 Half Day Chiang Rai City Tour

After breakfast and check out from hotel, we will drive to visit Opium House at bent of the mighty Maekhong River and see the scenery view of three countries (Thailand, Myanmar and Laos).  Visit ancient city of Chiang Saen, where ruins of numerous, temples, stupas, Buddha images are still to be seen artifacts and archaeological finds exhibited at the National Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant and transfer back to hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 14 Doi Mae Salong - Discover Golden Striangle

The golden triangle is a mysterious region for most of Indochina tour makes, today you will enjoy a full day excursion to the heart of golden triangle region.

Your fascinating day will start from morning by firstly visit the Long Neck Karen village to see the long neck hill tribe people who relocated from the Thai and Myanmar border. Keep driving to Mt. Doi Mae Salong and visit the Chinese village on the top of the mountain. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue the trip to the highest peak on the Thai-Myanmar border. Doi Tung, provides an opportunity to view enrooted many different Lahu and Akha village as well as terraced farming areas and see from distance the Princess Mother's frigid flower Garden.  Doi Tung temple, built in A.D.1493, is located at the peak. Its scenery reminds one of Switzerland, features many unique images and temple architecture over looking the entire northern rice field plain.  Return to the hotel and rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 15 Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai by Private Car

After breakfast, visit the White Temple, is an unusual Thai temple designed by artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, who mixes traditional Buddhist temple architecture with pop culture references. Keep driving to Chiang Mai, visit the Meow Hill Tribe Village where locates on the Mountain Doi Pui and it was once famous for opium cultivation. Continue to visit the Temple Wat Doi Suthep where you will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Chiang Mai City. If you like, here is also one of the best places to enjoy sunset.

Day 16 Full Day Elephant Nature Park

Enjoy a full day visit to Elephant Nature Park; a natural home and sanctuary for elephants, buffalos, dogs, cats, birds and many other rescued animals. Day 17 Chiang Mai –Bangkok, Half Day City Highlights Tour

After breakfast, transfer to airport for onward flight to Bangkok. Upon arrive, guide will meet you at the airport. Then visit Wat Traimit, ‘Temple of the Golden Buddha’ famous for its 900-year-old and five-and-a-half-ton solid gold image. Continue to see Wat Arun, perhaps better known as the Temple of the Dawn, which is one of the most published images of Bangkok. After that, explore Wat Po, this city’s largest and oldest temple housing the largest single Buddha image: the Reclining Buddha. the renowned Grand Palace, one of the must-sees that adjoins Wat Phra Kaew, the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand.

Day 18 Damnoen Saduak Floating Market /Kanchanabury and WWII

This morning visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you will experience the traditional Thai market with numerous vendors selling local foods, fruits and products from their boats. Explore the market before continuing on to Kanchanburi to learn about the region's storied past and present-day culture. Made famous by the book and movie The Bridge on the River Kwai, the infamous bridge and railway is a notable part of the Kanchanaburi landscape. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre to get an understanding of the deadly, Herculean task many Thais were faced with decades ago. Then continue to Prasat Muang Sing Historical Park. The park is full of examples of the Khmar influenced architecture in this part of Thailand.

Day 19 Thailand's Ayutthaya Temples and River Cruise from Bangkok

Combine a visit from Bangkok to Ayutthaya — the UNESCO-listed ancient capital of Siam — with a riverboat trip on the Chao Phraya River. An informative guide highlights Thailand’s fascinating history as you explore Ayutthaya temples, stone ruins and Buddha statues in the old capital of Thailand, which was ransacked by invading Burmese in the 18th century.
