Siem Reap Arrival (D)

Welcome to Siem Reap!

Upon arrival at Siem Reap Airport, your local guide and driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

After check-in, the rest of the day is free for you to rest and recover from your journey.

At around 6:00 pm, enjoy a welcome dinner with Cambodian dishes and a traditional Apsara dance performance.

After dinner, return to your hotel for a good rest.

Day 2

Siem Reap - Angkor Temple Discovery (B, L)

Your guide will confirm the early-morning pick-up time according to the season. Travel to Angkor Wat before sunrise and find a suitable place to watch the temple appear in the first light of day.

After sunrise, return to your hotel for breakfast and a short rest. At around 10:00 am, meet your guide again to continue the temple exploration.

In the morning, visit:

1. Ta Prohm: an atmospheric Buddhist temple known for the giant tree roots growing across its walls and courtyards.
2. Banteay Kdei: a peaceful Buddhist monastery complex built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII.

After lunch at a local Cambodian restaurant, continue to:

After breakfast, your guide will meet you between 8:00 and 8:30 am.

Begin the day with a boat journey along the Mekong River and enjoy views of the countryside.

1. Ban Xang Hai: a riverside village known for producing traditional Lao rice wine. Learn how it is made and sample a small amount if you wish.
2. Pak Ou Caves: two sacred riverside caves filled with Buddha images left by pilgrims over many generations.

Enjoy lunch near the caves and taste or lam, a traditional Luang Prabang stew.

After lunch, continue by road to:

1. Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre: see rescued moon bears and learn about efforts to protect wildlife from illegal trade.

Chiang Mai – Skywalk & Elephant Wellness (B, L)

Your Elephant Nature Park team will pick you up from your Chiang Mai hotel between 7:30 and 8:00 am.

Spend the day at Elephant Nature Park, where rescued elephants live in natural social groups.

During the visit, you will experience:

1. Hands Off Project: observe elephants roaming freely in their chosen herds from the elevated SkyWalk.
2. Observe the Herd: walk through the park and learn about the elephants’ individual histories and needs.

Board a traditional long-tail boat and travel across Cheow Lan Lake, passing limestone cliffs and forested islands on the way to your confirmed floating bungalow.

1. Maya Bay: walk along the famous beach and enjoy views of the limestone cliffs. Swimming and snorkeling are not permitted inside the bay.
2. Loh Samah Bay: arrive at the rear entrance to Phi Phi Leh and continue to suitable snorkeling areas nearby when conditions allow.
3. Pileh Lagoon: cruise through a sheltered turquoise lagoon surrounded by limestone cliffs.
4. Viking Cave: view the cave from the boat and learn about the collection of edible bird’s nests.

Since this was a custom tour, the preferences given to her (such as veg. food etc) were easily accommodated.

Indochina tour of Vietnam

Our group of six (three couples in our late 50s and early 60s) recently spent 22 amazing days touring Vietnam, and Bliss & Kea from Indochina Tours did a fantastic job organising every detail.

They helped us customise a 14-day itinerary into a 22-day holiday by adding extra time in Hanoi, Sa Pa, Hoi An, Da Nang and Saigon, giving us the perfect balance of guided touring and free time. We also included a two-night, 5-star Lan Ha Bay cruise, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The scenery was spectacular, the staff were wonderful, and the food was outstanding.

From the moment we arrived, everything ran like clockwork. Every airport, train station and hotel transfer was organised perfectly, with friendly, knowledgeable guides waiting for us at each destination. Having different local guides in each region gave us a real insight into the history, culture and daily life of Vietnam.

The hotels were all excellent, breakfast was included every morning, and several lunches were provided during the tour. We especially enjoyed the street food tour and pho breakfast in Hanoi.

Vietnam is an incredible country, and thanks to Bliss & Kea, we were able to relax and simply enjoy the experience without worrying about the logistics.

We highly recommend Bliss & Kea to anyone planning a trip to Vietnam. Their attention to detail, communication and organisation were first class, and they helped create a holiday we’ll never forget.

Excellent from start to finish

What a fantastic trip from pre-start to finish! I emailed the tour operator and tailored the trip itinerary to match my dates (extended a day) and interests. They also helped find ways to lower the cost (no guide came to the airport for example).

The guides were outstanding, especially Pasqual in Siem Reap. He was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share his personal experiences as well. I never felt rushed. Meals were outstanding. I highly recommend!

Experience Thailand without breaking the bank

This is our second time booking our Asia experience with Indochina. They provide exceptional service. From airport and hotel pickups, the comfortable transportation and the more than eager tour guide. The majority of the hotel were the 4 * that we wanted except the ones in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai.

But because of the small village, we believe we received one of the best they could offer. The selection of restaurants to have lunch provided a local atmosphere conducive with living in the area. It provided a true Thailand experience. I will definitely continue to refer my clients and friends to Indochina tours.

This was the best trip I have been on.

I The length of holiday could have been longer only because we were enjoying ourselves so much

The atmosphere in the old town areas throughout Vietnam are brilliant for just wandering. We travelled in June where crowds were very small apart from Ho Chi Min city and Ba Na Hills.

The staff we very informative and flexible if we wanted to stay longer than planned. Our tour would be best for couples, young or old.

I found IndoChina through TourRadar and I am so thankful I did - I have been wanting to go to Asia for years, but I didn't know where to start with planning.

They allowed me to take a tour that I was 90% interested in and customize the last 10% to include activities that better fit my mother & my lifestyle & activity levels. Their tour guides were so professional, friendly, knowledgeable and very responsive.

We did not book a private tour, but we ended up having mostly private guides in each city - there were only a few excursions where we joined a small group (Bangkok floating market & Hanoi overnight cruise to Ha Long Bay).
