Cambodia has three major international airports, and these airports provide flights to the most popular Cambodian destinations.
Siem Reap International Airport is the gateway to the renowned Angkor Wat Temple Complex. Located 6km outside of Siem Reap, it’s conveniently close to the city and Angkor Wat. An airport taxi to either location only takes around 10 minutes and costs between 6 and 8 USD.
Phnom Penh International Airport is the busiest in Cambodia and an entry point for anyone visiting the capital city. The downtown city center is 10km away. Taxis take around 30 minutes and cost around 12 USD.
Sihanouk International Airport is the gateway to the coastal city of Sihanoukville and to exploring the southern islands. A taxi to the city center 20km away costs around 20 USD. The time depends on traffic, and it usually takes 30-60 minutes.

Phnom Penh has more direct, non-stop flights from various cities across Asia, including long-distance connections from places like Seoul, South Korea, and Delhi, India. Additionally, there are frequent flight connections from China, Singapore, and nearby countries such as Vietnam and Thailand.
Siem Reap has fewer direct flights compared to Phnom Penh, but there are still many convenient connections available. You can find daily flights from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Vietnam, and Thailand, and regular flights from Laos. Siem Reap is also referred to as the gateway to Angkor Wat, indicating its importance as the main city for visiting this famous temple complex.

3 Domestic Airports in Ratanakiri, Battambang and Krong Kampot
Ratanakiri Airport is a small airport in the less touristy region of northeastern Cambodia. Located in Ban Lung town in Ratanakiri Province, the airport has no regular commercial flights. The airport primarily serves charter and private flights.
Battambang Airport, just outside of scenic Battambang city, is another small airport with only charter and private flight service. Plans to open the airport for domestic-commercial flights are in place, and soon, it will be easier to visit the hub of Cambodia’s northwest.
Krong Kampot Airport serves the picturesque Kampot Province. The area is known for the famous Kampot Peppers and charming colonial architecture.

International flights to Cambodia can fill up quickly, especially during peak tourist seasons from November to February. Booking in advance can help secure better prices and preferred flight times.
